For a lot of us, the off season is a slippery slope in terms of keeping fit and ready for the following year.
With this in mind, we’ve got a challenge which we are throwing out to Crofties and their friends and family; join the Crusade, and run in Tough Mudder as a Crofty Crusader on Saturday February 9th.
It’s a great excuse to keep yourself fit in the off season and to raise a bit of fundraising dosh for a very worthy cause along the way. We’ll be posting training exercises and tips online, and holding a few team sessions for all our Crusaders before the big day.
Visit the Tough Mudder website: www.toughmudder.com.au
Select the event ‘Sydney February 9th’
Select ‘Join existing team’ and search for ‘Crofty Crusaders’
Enter the password: Join the Crusade
Be sure to keep an eye on this space and our Facebook page www.facebook.com/beecroft.rugby for more details, and let’s get up that slippery slope together!

Our annual AGM will be held on 26th September at the Epping Club, 7.30pm.
This is an opportunity for you to have your say in who and how the club is run. Below is an attachment of the notice of this meeting and also a nomination form for an Office Bearer position if you wish to join the committee. This form needs to be submitted back to me by the 19th September and will be put to vote on the night.
Most of you are aware that both 1st Grade & 5th Grade have made the finals for Season 2012.
It would be great to get as many people to Daceyville as possible to support the boys with 5th Grade kicking off is at 9am and 1st Grade kicking off at the regular time of 3.15.
Grab a few other lads and head down for what is always a great day of rugby and cheer home the mighty Croft to another two victories.
The details of the oval are:
David Phillips Field, Gwea Ave, Daceyville.
Any questions please phone 0418 177 704.
Team sheet is listed below for the weekend. Once again, any mates that you have who are looking for a run get them down to Boronia for 4th Grade in the morning.
As this week is our last official week of training before the finals our 1st grade coaches have decided to throw on a BBQ and some $2 tinny’s. For added incentive there will be competition for the clubs fastest forward and also fastest back with the winner’s taking home a case of Tooheys New.
Make that final effort and get down for the last session of the season.
We will also be having end of season drinks and a feed this Saturday at Epping Pub after our match at Hunters Hill.
See you all at training on Wednesday.
Please click the below link for this weekend’s team sheet.
If anyone has any mates that wish to have a run we will needs some numbers for 4th/3rd grade so get them down to Headen. We will be a little short so an SOS is going out for anyone that would like a run!
Also a reminder that it is ladies day so bring your partners, sisters, mothers & friends down to Headen and park them in the tent for a few hours of bottomless champagne and food.
Please see below team list for tomorrow’s match against St Patricks at Hudson Park.
The oval is located on Arthur Street off Centenary Drive in Strathfield.
With only 4 more round matches left and all teams having a good chance of winning the majority of these games, the coaches are urging all players to get down to the last 4 training sessions of the season. Do your other team mates a favour and make the effort for the last 4 Wednesday nights this year!
Also, please note the below dates for our final social events:
Saturday 25th August – Ladies Day, starts 12 Noon
Saturday 1st September – End of Season Drinks @ Epping Hotel.
