Knox Old Boys have handed Beecroft their second loss on the trot to stake their claim for this year’s Subbies title.

After a slow start to season 2009 Knox have bounced into premiership contention with their first ever win over competition heavyweights and their local rivals, the Lions.

Knox coach Peter Bromley said his side were well-placed for a premiership tilt.

“It took us a while to get going this year and we’ve now put a few good games together,” Bromley said.
