BEECROFT Rugby Club lead the Kentwell Cup competition with a dour home win over a committed Iggies Old Boys on Saturday.

Stricken by illness and injury, and with only three of their grand finals forwards on the park, the Crofties struggled for their 13-7 win but it was sufficient to hoist them to the top of the table after three rounds.

It was a red letter day for prop forward Jason Goodman, playing his 200th game with the club.
